Besides working as a 1st AD, Nicolai is also a published Photographer & Filmmaker who is behind several international multi-award winning Fashion Films, and Music Videos with more than 15 million online views, which has received more than 100 festival award nominations worldwide, and have been awarded more than 38 international film awards.
He has trained at European Film College , and has served as external lecturer on Fashion Film Production at Coventry University, London, and, in addition, has taught children and young actors in practical film making.
Nicolai has worked with Danish directors Lars von Trier, Thomas Vinterberg, Niels Arden Oplev & Bille August, and his work has involved Joaquin Phoenix, Connie Nielsen, Aiden Quinn, Kelly Preston, Asa Butterfield, Nicholas Hoult, Andy Serkis, and Claire Danes.
